Learning about ending Bias Violence, the School to Prison Pipeline, and how using Restorative Justice Practices Can Heal Our Schools & Communities

 

Join the Campaign for Nonviolent Schools on MLK Day for an expert panel of youth and adults and workshops that will give you concrete skills and steps you can take to reduce violence. Workshops will include:

  • Implementing Restorative Practices
  • Interrupting Bias Violence
  • Creating Nonviolent Schools
  • Ending the School to Prison Pipeline

Campaign for Nonviolent Schools



The Campaign for Nonviolent Schools is a citywide, youth-led campaign that works to improve school climate and safety without pushing youth into the criminal justice system. Steering Committee members of the campaign are Asian Americans United, Asian Student Association of Philadelphia, ASPIRA, BPSOS, Citywide Student Government, Philadelphia Freedom Schools, Philadelphia Student Union, Philadelphia Youth Commission, University Community Collaborative of Philadelphia, the Youth Art and Self-Empowerment Project, and Youth United for Change.
